At Alto, our commitment to providing an exceptional experience relies on consistent coverage. While attendance points are automatically applied to records according to our standard policy, we understand that system errors or documented emergencies happen.
If you believe points were issued to your account in error, you can submit a review request. Below is a breakdown of what situations qualify for a point review and how to submit your request.
Looking for the full breakdown of points, warning thresholds, and attendance expectations? Please see our main Attendance Policy.
What CAN Be Reviewed
You should submit an attendance point review if your situation falls into one of the following categories:
- Technical & System Issues: Documented app log-in failures, hub kiosk errors, or instances where you worked a scheduled shift but the system accidentally marked you absent.
- Operational Discrepancies: Being sent home early due to vehicle unavailability or unresolved Uber account issues.
- Same-Day Shift Swaps: Dropping one shift but picking up and successfully working a different shift on that exact same calendar day.
- Documented Policy Exceptions: Absences caused by covered reasons—such as a medical appointment, jury duty, or a school-related obligation—provided that proper supporting documentation is uploaded with your request.
What CANNOT Be Reviewed
Showing up every day ready to work, managing your schedule proactively, and taking pride in your lane are core parts of being an Alto driver. Because the following scenarios are considered entirely within a driver's control, they are not eligible for attendance point removal:
- Schedule Oversight: Being unaware of an assigned shift, forgetting a shift, or misreading your shift times or dates.
- Transportation Issues: Heavy traffic, public transit delays, or personal vehicle breakdowns. (Maintaining reliable transportation to get to your hub on time is a core requirement of the role).
- Policy Non-Compliance: Arriving at the hub on time but being sent home or unable to drive because you forgot a required ID, are out of uniform, or are missing required equipment.
Keeping Track of Your Points
The quickest way to monitor your attendance record is to check your email. An automated notification is sent directly to your inbox the moment points are applied to your account, giving you a real-time view of your current status.
