If you believe a meal or rest break violation was issued in error, you may submit a request for review.
When to request a review
You should submit a review request if:
You took the required break, but it did not record correctly in the app
You worked fewer than the required hours but received a violation
You were involved in an accident on shift that prevented you from taking a break
You believe the violation was issued in error
When a review will not result in removal
The following reasons are not valid grounds for removing a meal or rest break violation:
Workload prevented you from taking a break
Traffic prevented you from taking a break
You forgot to take your break
You were trying to maintain performance metrics
You experienced technical issues (breaks should still be taken and you should update the team of the correct times)
You were in an inconvenient location
You chose not to take your break
Meal breaks must be taken before the end of the 5th hour of work (where applicable), and rest breaks must be taken as required.
