Purpose
The Time Assigned Percentage (TAP) Policy sets clear expectations for driver engagement and performance across Alto’s platforms. The goal is to promote efficiency, consistency, and excellent service while recognizing top-performing drivers.
What Is TAP?
TAP (Time Assigned Percentage) measures how efficiently a driver’s time is spent completing trips.
Formula:
TAP = Time Assigned on Uber Trips ÷ Total Paid Time
Time Assigned on Uber Trips: Time spent en route to passengers and actively on trips.
Paid Time: Total worked hours (regular and overtime). This does not include unpaid breaks or non-worked time such as sick leave.
TAP Score Goal
Drivers working six or more hours per week are expected to maintain a minimum TAP score of 50%.
A score below 50% means that more than half of a driver’s paid time is not spent on active trips.
Monitoring and Evaluation
TAP scores are reviewed weekly, covering Monday through Sunday.
-
High Performers:
Drivers in the top 10% of TAP scores for the week, with no meal break violations, will receive a $50 performance bonus added to their paycheck.
This bonus recognizes consistent, high-quality service and compliance.
-
Non-Compliance:
Drivers who do not meet TAP expectations or violate key standards may face progressive disciplinary action in accordance with Alto’s Employee Handbook.
