If your meal break is missing or incorrect, submit a punch correction below before payroll closes.
Deadlines
- Payroll closes Tuesday for the prior pay period (Monday–Sunday)
- Meal break adjustment requests submitted after payroll closes will be denied
What to include
- Shift date
- Approximate meal break start and end time
- Brief explanation of what occurred
How Meal Breaks Are Recorded
- Meal breaks are recorded based on your meal break status in the driver app
- You must start and end your meal break in the app
- Going online or offline in Uber does not start or end a meal break
- If the break status is not updated correctly, the timecard may be incorrect
- Because meal breaks are tied to app activity, adjustments are limited and must align with system data
California Drivers
- Meal breaks are required for shifts over 5 hours
- Meal breaks must be taken before the 5th hour of work
-
A meal break penalty may apply if you report on the EOS form that you could not take a 30-minute uninterrupted meal break, even if a meal break appears on your timecard
